Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
The Whole Bible is built upon an incomprehensible pattern upon pattern of different numerical schemes which proceeding through books and letters written by different men over many centuries, prove beyond a shadow of a doubt the true authorship of the Word being done by the inspiration of YHWH. It would be totally impossible to go into great detail upon any one scheme, because each of them seem to be endless. I can't stress how inadequate this page is in revealing how deep this goes throughout the entire Bible. YHWH uses the number of nouns, verbs, the Chapter numbers, the verse numbers, the number of times particular things are mentioned, the numerical placing in lists, multiples, and more in showing his Brilliant mind in authoring the scriptures. The more you look the more you find. However, the purpose of this page is just to acquaint the reader with a few obvious details in hope that it will strengthen your faith in the validity of the scriptures and exhort you to delve further into exploring scenarios on your own. I have come across a number of books written on this subject. The most detailed one I have seen, from which some of the examples given here were taken, is "Biblical Mathematics", by Evangelist Ed. F. Vallowe.

It seems that the first use of a number in the scriptures sets the stage for it's spiritual significance throughout the rest of the Bible. The most agreed upon meaning of the first and most common numbers are as follows:

One - Unity or Division
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Two - Union or Division.
Mark 10:7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Mark 6:7 And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; 8 And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse: 9 But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats.

Gen 10:25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

Matt 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Three - Divine Completeness
Mark 8:31 And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Four - Creation

Material Creation was completed on the Fourth day.
Gen 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Five - Grace
Eph 4:11 And he gave some,(1) apostles; and some,(2) prophets; and some,(3) evangelists; and some, (4) pastors and (5) teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Five Offerings = (1) Sin Offering,(2) Trespass Offering,(3) Burnt Offering,(4) Meat Offering, and (5) Peace Offering

Rom 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of (1) grace. 6 And if by (2) grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise (3) grace is no more (4) grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more (5) grace: otherwise work is no more work. ("Grace" is not mentioned again in this chapter)
Six - Man, Incompleteness, Sin
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them...
...Gen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six (666).
Seven - Completeness, Perfection
Rev 10:7But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Rev 16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

Seven Musical Notes

Seven Feast Days

Seven Dispensations

Seven Mediteranean Empires to persecute Jews before the end.
Rev 7:10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen (Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Media-Persia, Greece) and one is (Rome - John was under Rome at the time), and the other is not yet come (Antichrist); and when he cometh, he must continue a shortspace.
Revelation is the Finishing book of the bible and is based upon multiple sevens including 7churches, 7 Spirits, 7 Stars, 7 Seals, 7 Trumpets, 7 Vials, 7 Persons, 7 Dooms, and 7 New things, etc.

Daniels 70 weeks until the end of the age are 70 x 7 years or 490 years.
Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Eight - New Beginning
Gen 17:12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.

John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be (1) born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be (2) born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be (3) born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be (4) born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is (5) born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is (6) born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be (7) born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is (8) born of the Spirit.

The Eight day is the Beginning of a new week.

The Eight musical note is the Beginning of a new octave.
Nine - Fruit of the Spirit
the New Birth (8) should always be followed by Fruit of the Spirit (9).

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is (1) love, (2) joy, (3) peace, (4) longsuffering, (5) gentleness, (6) goodness, (7) faith, 23 (8) Meekness, (9) temperance: against such there is no law.

1 Cor 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the (1) Spirit the word of wisdom; to another (2) the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another (3) faith by the same Spirit; to another (4) the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another (5) the working of miracles; to another (6) prophecy; to another (7) discerning of spirits; to another (8) divers kinds of tongues; to another (9) the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

Nine Principle Vessels in the tabernacle.

Nine Principle Body ( the tabernacle of the Holy Ghost ) Systems ( Skeletal, Muscular, Digestive, Nervous, etc. ) .
Ten - Law, Responsibility
Deu 10:3 And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand. 4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me. 5 And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.

Luke 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. 14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. 15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. 17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

1Cor 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither 1) fornicators, nor (2) idolaters, nor (3) adulterers, nor (4) effeminate, nor (5) abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor (6) thieves, nor (7) covetous, nor (8) drunkards, nor (9) revilers, nor (10) extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Thirteen - Rebellion
Fourteen - Salvation, Deliverance
Fifteen - Rest
Sixteen - Love

Eighteen - Bondage
Nineteen - Faith
Twenty - Redemption

There are more lesser used numbers but I will stop here in listing them in sequence. Some of the more important ones are:

Forty - Trials bringing on maturity or perfection
Forty-two - Oppression of Israel, Messiah's return
Fifty - Holy Spirit
Seventy - Israel's Restoration
One Hundred - God's Election under Grace or Choice by Promise
One Hundred and forty-four - Life in the Spirit
Six Hundred - War
Six Hundred and Sixty-six - Anctichrist
Eight Hundred and Eighty-eight - First Resurrection
Thousand - Glory of YHWH

Certain numbers which have specific meanings of their own can be understood more deeply by looking at the spiritual significance of the numbers which are used to create them through multiplying, for example the number 40 which represents Maturing or becoming Perfect through Trials, is made up of the number Five (Grace) multiplied by Eight (New Beginnings), pointing to the fact that with trials under a "Grace Period", if the one on trial succeeds in passing the trial it will lead to a "New Beginning". This principal can be clearly seen in the usage of the number Forty throughout the scriptures and Creation.

Noah's Ark and the new beginning after the flood:
Gen 7:15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life. 16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in. 17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth. 18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters... ...Gen 8:15 And God spake unto Noah, saying, 16 Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee. 17 Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.
The Children of Israel wandering in the Wilderness for Forty years before entering their new beginning in the promised land:
Exo 16:35 And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.
Moses on the Mount for forty days before returning with the ten commandments on the two tablets of stone:
Exo 24:18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.

Exo 34:27 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel. 28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments. 29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
The Israelites failed the 40 day trial period after scouting the promised land by not having faith in God to overcome the inhabitants, and entered another longer period of forty years in the wilderness before their new beginning:
Num 13:25 And they returned from searching of the land after forty days. 26 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land. 27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. 28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there...

...Num 13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. 31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. 32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. 33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight...

...Num 14:31 But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which ye have despised. 32 But as for you, your carcases, they shall fall in this wilderness. 33 And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness. 34 After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise. 35 I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die.
The City of Nineveh given forty days:
Jonah 3:4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown. 5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.
Elijah at Mount Horeb:
1 Kings 19:8 And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
This maturation period is used especially in dealing with a tabernacle being perfected for service to YHWH. Yeshua tempted in the wilderness:
Luke 4:4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
Yeshua took Forty days to build the new Church:
Acts 1:1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, 2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen: 3 To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
It took 40 weeks to build the tabernacle, and the body of a child ( The ultimate tabernacle of the Holy Spirit takes 40 weeks to form ).

Take a Look at 3:16 for a road map of Salvation: Three - Divine Completeness : Sixteen = double Eight - New Beginning

Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

2 Thes 3:16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

1 Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
