The Wilderness TabernacleThe graphic below shows a layout of the Tabernacle built by the Hebrew children in the wilderness in the pattern given to Moses by YHWH. The right portion shows a figure of the human body, the "earthly tabernacle" of YHWH. Each of the points corresponding to the spiritual steps to life are numbered and can be referred to for a better understanding.
Wilderness Tabernacle vs. Human Body1 The Christian Walk: Through faith the sinner accepts Yahshua as the sacrificial Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world - John 1:29, and accepts through faith that Yahshua died personally as a sacrifice for his past (2 Pet 1:8) sins, with 4 points of blood on the cross; head, two hands, and feet. He died that we might live.
Blood - Death
Heb 13:11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. 12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. 13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.The Jewish Exodus: This is represented by the sacrifice of the Passover Lamb while still in the land of Egypt (a representation of the world) in the Hebrew children's exodus. The animal was sacrificed so the sacrificer might have life. The blood of the lamb was placed on the doorposts to repel the death angel.
Exo 12:21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover... ...27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses.

6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of(not in the oldest texts) his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
Col 2:11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him THROUGH THE FAITH of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
The Jewish Exodus: This is represented by the Hebrew children's crossing of the Red sea.1 Cor 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

Spirit - Resurrection
Acts 8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: 16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) 17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
Rom 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. . . . . . 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
The Jewish Exodus: This is represented by the Hebrew children's following the cloud of Glory.NOTE: There is no literal bowl of oil sitting before the door of the Holy Place in the pattern given to Moses as portrayed in the picture above. The oil was contained in a horn which was carried by hand. This was drawn only to help in understanding the pattern.1 Cor 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

Ezra 3:10 And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel. 11 And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.However, after laying the foundation, the people stopped there and went on to build their own homes and take care of their own personal lives, not proceeding on to the erecting of the building portion of the temple leading to this rebuke by Haggai the prophet:
Hag 1:1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying, 2 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built. 3 Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying, 4 Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your ceiled houses, and this house lie waste? 5 Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. 6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. 7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. 8 Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.Many Christians accept Yahshua as their sacrifice for sin, are baptized in water, and some even baptized in the Holy Spirit, but do not enter beyond this foundation into the building or perfecting of their tabernacle in purging themselves from sin by following the Holy Spirit, "labouring" to enter the rest, where "perfected", they can be used as vessels unto honor:
2 Tim 2:19 ...And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
Therefore LEAVING THE PRINCIPALS of the doctrine of Christ, let us GO ON UNTO PERFECTION; not laying again the FOUNDATION... Heb 6:1
Important Note: This period of building or maturing is associated throughout the scriptures with the number Forty. YHWH tells us that a Christian is perfected, or matures, through the trial of his faith:
Heb 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;,Forty symbolizes the building, maturing, or "Perfecting" of the tabernacle of YHWH especially the body of Yahshua "unto a Perfect Man", thus we see it used in many Biblical trials and temple building scenarios e.g. Rain for forty days and nights on Noah's ark, Yahshua tempted forty days in the wilderness, forty weeks building the wilderness tabernacle, The baby forty weeks in the womb, forty years building the temple, Moses on the mountain for forty days, etc. This period throughout scripture follows representations of the "Blood, water, and Spirit" (Death, Burial, and Ressurection) and the completion of it represents the ascension of Yahshua to YHWH's throne in heaven. After their Passover (Blood), Passing through the Red Sea (Water), and Following the Cloud of Glory (Spirit), The Hebrew Children failed the forty day test in searching out the land. They then went on to mature for 40 years in the wilderness. Num 14:33 And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness. 34 After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.The number 40 is made up of 5 (the biblical number of Grace) multiplied by 8 (the biblical number of new beginnings), thus passing the trial period under grace leads to a new beginning (see Scriptural Numbers). John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God (Blood) , which taketh away the sin of the world.Notice a pattern? This Pattern is used throughout the bible stories from Adam, to Noah, and Moses as a shadow of Yahshua and his salvation walk. Try this one. Jonah 1:14 Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done as it pleased thee. 15 So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea (Yahshua SACRIFICED to save others): and the sea ceased from her raging. 16 Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows. 17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights (Yahshua BURIED THREE DAYS AND NIGHTS). 2:1 Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish's belly, 2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice... |

Heb 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation...This is represented by the Priests in the temple going about the daily temple duties of (1) eating the shewbread (studying the word or "eating the Bread of Life"), (2) lighting the incense (Intercessory prayer), and (3) tending the lamp (Shining light or following the urging of the Holy Ghost) until the appropriate time, once a year when he could enter the Most Holy Place. This is also represented by the circular wanderings of the Hebrew children, (1) eating Manna, (2) Moses interceeding in prayer on the mountain, and (3) following the pillar of fire at the whim of the Holy Spirit. This section of the pattern is the repetition or "exercise" of obedience to the word and spirit...
Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
The Jewish Exodus: This is represented by the Hebrew children's leaving the world and entering the wilderness to begin their forty years of trial.
